11 weeks to Berlin Marathon: Time to listen to the body

It was a difficult week for me. The more I tried to run faster , the slower I was. It was quite normal as I increase total training distance per week from 50 to 55 to 60 km. Theoretically , it should be my easy week and I should lower training volume down. In reality, I was not decrese my training volume. In the end, my body gave me the final answer and of course it was a big NO.

What I train ?

*Mon: 12 km mid long run & 100m repeat short stride
Tue: easy run 5 km
Wed: off & rest
Thu: 10 km tempo
Fri: 11km with 16x400m interval
Sat: easy run 5 run
Sun: 20 km long run
*
Total 63 km

How I feel ?

Working with new coach and coping with single sport training are still my big challenge. My most concerns are fear of losing fitness of swimming and cycling and have to start from zero again once I am back to multisport training at the end of this year. All in all, I have to let this feeling go and fully focus on marathon training for Berlin. It is not an easy things to do but I believe I can do it

Your take home messages

**Always listen to your body. It will always give you a sign. Whether it is good or bad sign, work with your body and against it. Because, at the end of the day you will need it to perform at maximum or beyond that point on your race day **
